Product description
Women's Slalom Waterski ā Radar ā 2026
Who this is for
Women at the beginning or intermediate stage of slalom skiing who want a ski that is genuinely easy to get up on ā and still rips once you are. Whether youāre returning to the sport, skiing at a relaxed pace on Okanagan Lake, or just want a ski that works without demanding perfection, the Union delivers.
The ski
The 2026 Radar Womenās Union is the most forgiving ski in the Radar lineup ā and the one Radar recommends when itās time to slow the boat down a few more miles per hour. Starting from the same Vapor shape that has powered world records, Radar adds 0.4ā of extra width outside the concave, between the tunnel and the bevel. This keeps the active wet surface ā the part that actually grips and turns the ski ā virtually identical to the Vapor. You get easy, confidence-building starts without sacrificing the ability to roll the ski on edge and rip across the wakes once youāre up. The Womenās Union uses a lighter carbon layup than the menās version, specifically tuned to allow women to roll into turns and drive across the wakes with less physical input. As we cover in our 2026 Radar buying guide, the Union is the all-water confidence builder ā a ski that stays on top of the water easily at lower speeds while rewarding good habits without punishing small mistakes.
Attridge recommended speed: 28ā30 MPH ā Radarās published range of 24ā32 MPH covers a very broad spectrum. In our experience on North Okanagan lakes, 28ā30 MPH is where the Womenās Union feels best for most intermediate riders.
What makes it work
Vapor Shape + 0.4ā Width
Radar starts with the exact same Vapor tunnel and bevel configuration that powers competition skiing, then adds extra width outside the concave. The active wet surface ā what turns and grips the ski ā stays the same. The added width gives you more float and a more forgiving platform at slower speeds, without making the ski feel sluggish or wide.
Womenās-Specific Carbon Layup
The Womenās Union uses a lighter carbon layup than the menās version, tuned specifically to allow women to roll into turns and drive across the wakes with less physical input. You donāt need to muscle this ski ā it responds to lighter, more precise movements, which matches how most women skiers naturally generate power.
High-Speed Flow Line
The Unionās outline uses straight lines from the wide point through the tail ā no outside radius. This increases water flow efficiency, reduces drag, and makes the ski fast and smooth from one side of the wake to the other. A slower boat speed doesnāt mean a slow ski: the Union still rips the way a slalom ski should on Okanagan Lakeās glassy morning runs.
All-Terrain Core ā 100% Carbon
The All-Terrain construction is Radarās most forgiving layup, wrapped in 100% carbon fibre for a consistent flex pattern every time. It absorbs rougher water and afternoon chop on Kalamalka Lake without bucking you off the ski, letting you focus on technique rather than survival.

Sizing is based on average fitness and ability. Stronger or more advanced skiers often size down; beginners or those returning to the sport may prefer to size up for more stability.
