Kids’ Wakesurf Board — Phase Five — 2026
Who this is for
Young riders up to 120 lbs who are learning to wakesurf for the first time — or groms who are already comfortable on the wave and want a board that can grow with their skills. The Scamp is the board many of the best riders in the world first learned on, and every single one comes with unique hand-painted artwork.
The board
The 2026 Phase Five Scamp is the ultimate grom board — and one of the most recognised names in kids’ wakesurfing. Designed with a wide, stable profile that carries just the right amount of momentum to stay in the wave, and a thin ½” skim-style core that provides exceptional float for lighter riders without losing rail sensitivity, the Scamp is one of those rare boards that works for a complete beginner and still delivers genuine performance as skills develop. The tri-fin setup locks the board into the pocket for turns while staying loose enough to spin — so the progression from first wave to first 360 can happen on the same board. Every Scamp comes with a unique custom hand-painted airbrush graphic, which means the board your child gets on Okanagan Lake is the only one like it in the world.
What makes it work
Wide Profile — Stable & Fast
The wide outline carries momentum through the wave — a young rider doesn’t have to work to stay in the pocket. The board naturally stays where it should be, letting the rider focus on balance and positioning rather than chasing the wave around Okanagan Lake.
½” Thin Core — Float for Lighter Riders
The thin ½” skim-style core gives lighter riders exceptional float and makes the board easy to sink under water for a deep water start — one of the biggest hurdles when learning. Despite the thin profile, the core stays sensitive to rail pressure, so skills transfer directly as the rider progresses.
Tri-Fin Setup — Drive & Looseness
A 2” centre skim fin paired with two 1” Fakie side fins locks the board into the face of the wave with enough drive to turn confidently, while staying loose enough to start learning spins. It’s the ideal setup for a rider who is building fundamentals but starting to think about tricks.
Unique Hand-Painted Artwork
Every Scamp is individually airbrushed by hand in Venice, Florida — no two are the same. The graphic your child rides home with is a genuine one-of-a-kind. Artwork varies from board to board; the image shown is an example only.
