Slalom Water Ski — Radar — 2026
Who this is for
The skier who is hunting for angle and speed. If you ski regularly at 31–34 MPH, want a ski that rewards committed turns, and are ready for something that pops out of every arc with real drive toward the wake — the Graphite Senate is your next ski.
The ski
The 2026 Radar Senate Graphite shares the exact same Vapor-derived shape as the Alloy — same tunnel, same bevels, same 0.2” Performance Width. What separates it is what’s inside. Where the Alloy uses Paulownia wood stringers for dampening, the Graphite runs a full carbon fibre wrap over a polyurethane Aero Core. That swap changes everything about the feel: more snap out of the turns, more drive across the wakes, more energy stored and released on every pass. The Aero Core keeps the ride composed and predictable enough for open-water sessions, but the carbon unleashes real speed and angle when you need it. As we cover in our 2026 Radar buying guide, the Graphite is for advanced and course-focused skiers running 31–34 MPH who want Vapor-level performance in a shape that still has a forgiving moment to collect yourself if you get slightly out of position.
Attridge recommended speed: 31–34 MPH — The Graphite is where carbon really activates. Below 31 MPH, the Alloy’s wood-dampened construction is a better match. At 31–34 MPH on Okanagan or Kalamalka Lake, the Graphite’s energy comes alive.
What makes it work
Full Carbon Wrap — Speed & Snap
Unlike the Alloy’s wood stringers, the Graphite runs 100% carbon fibre throughout. The carbon stores energy through the turn and releases it explosively as you cross the wakes — producing the high-end acceleration and edge hold that advanced skiers demand at higher speeds. A consistent flex pattern, every pass.
Polyurethane Aero Core
The PU Aero Core is light and responsive enough for the course, but still damp enough to handle the slight ripples of a perfect glassy morning session without feeling chattery. You get the energy of a performance ski with just enough composure to recover and keep your rhythm if you get out of position.
Performance Width — Senate Shape
The same Vapor tunnel and bevels, with 0.2” of extra width added outside the concave. The active wet surface — what turns and grips the ski — is virtually identical to the Vapor. You get a ski that turns and grips like a pro model but doesn’t require 36 MPH to stay on top of the water on Okanagan Lake.
Attitude Control Tunnel + Expanded Sweet Spot
The refined 2026 rocker line balances tunnel, bevel, and tip height to reduce water deflection and allow the ski to sit more level. This means earlier turn initiation, less climbing over the ski to start the arc, and a sweet spot that extends from your front foot to the back — harder to get out of position and easier to recover when you do.
