All-Mountain Freestyle — Lib Tech — 2027

Who this is for

Riders who want one board for everything the mountain throws at them — groomed carving laps, side hits, the park, surprise pow days, and riding switch as confidently as regular. The DPR is the board that makes every day at the resort better, and it won't break the bank to get there.

The board

DPR stands for Developmental Project Realized — and the name earns it. Lib Tech co-founder Pete Saari and his crew spent ten years perfecting the Double Dip, and every sidecut refinement, shape tweak, and geometry lesson from that decade went into building the DPR from scratch. The result is a directional twin that's been precision-tuned for the rider who wants to get the most out of every run at Silver Star, Big White, or wherever the season takes them. The early rise nose makes turn initiation forgiving and effortless, and floats when a powder day surprises you. Mild camber underfoot snaps with real pop and locks into carves. Equal nose and tail widths mean you can ride switch without thinking twice. Mini Magne-Traction® keeps the edges honest on hardpack without making the board feel grabby in the park. This is ten years of development distilled into a board that simply works — every run, every condition, all season. And at one of the lowest price points in the Lib Tech lineup, it's one of the best value boards in snowboarding.

Camber Profile

Early Rise Camber

Early rise in the nose for forgiving, catch-free turn initiation and powder float. Mild camber underfoot and into the tail for snap, pop, and responsive edge control. The profile that makes a freestyle board feel at home everywhere on the mountain.

Shape

Directional Twin

Equal nose and tail widths with a radial sidecut — symmetrical enough to ride switch with total confidence, directional enough to drive forward with purpose. Rides true to size, no adjustment needed.

What makes it work

10 Years in Development

The DPR didn't come from a product meeting. Pete Saari and the Mervin crew spent a decade refining the Double Dip into freestyle perfection — every sidecut shape, profile tweak, and geometry lesson from that process is baked into this board. You're riding ten years of decisions.

Mini Magne-Traction®

Strategically placed edge serrations give you real grip on hardpack and firm snow without making the board feel grabby or twitchy in the park. It's the right amount of edge hold for an all-mountain freestyle board — dialled specifically for how this board is meant to be ridden.

Birch Internal Sidewalls

Vertical end-grain Birch sidewalls add pop and durability without adding weight. The DPR feels lively and responsive at a medium flex — the sidewall construction is a big part of why.

UHMW Sintered Sidewalls

Ultra-high molecular weight sintered sidewalls — twice as dense as most industry standard sidewalls. More durable, more responsive, and a Lib Tech construction detail that most boards at this price point don't have.

Mervin Made — Washington, USA

Handbuilt at Mervin Manufacturing in Sequim, Washington — zero hazardous waste, no outsourcing, no compromises. The same factory, the same standards, whether you're buying the DPR or the Orca II.

160 257mm 115 lbs / 50 kg 6/10
162W 265mm 115 lbs / 50 kg 6/10

Rides true to size — no adjustment needed. The 147–156 sizes run a 5/10 flex suited to lighter and younger riders; 158 and up step to 6/10. W sizes (159W, 162W) run a wider 265mm waist for riders with larger feet — same length, more platform. Weight figures are minimums. When in doubt, come in — we'll sort it out.

Wide sizes available — 159W and 162W If you ride boot size US 11 or larger, the W versions run 265mm waist width to eliminate toe drag without going up in length. Same board, same flex, same performance — sized for bigger feet.

The Lib Tech DPR is available in-store at Attridge Ski & Board in Vernon, BC — your home base for Silver Star, Revelstoke, and Big White. We ship free across Canada on orders over $150.
