In Māori, ika means fish — and like a fish moving through water, the IKA is built to move through snow with effortless, fluid grace. This is Christy Prior's board: the New Zealand freeride legend spent time developing a shape that captures the surf-inspired feeling she's built her career around, and the result is one of the most unique boards in Nitro's lineup. The tapered swallowtail keeps the tail high and light in powder, letting the nose rise naturally without effort. The split tail also improves flex response and edge hold, so when you're threading tight tree lines at Revelstoke or arcing long turns through open bowls, the IKA stays connected and controlled. Directional rocker floats the nose effortlessly. A 7/10 flex gives it the stiffness to hold a powerful line at speed without becoming demanding. This is the board for a deep snow day when all you want to do is draw out your turns, feel your own rhythm, and connect with the mountain beneath you.

One size only. The 302mm nose versus 264mm tail width shows the dramatic taper that keeps the nose floating effortlessly in deep snow. The 25mm setback positions the stance well back on the board — the furthest back of any board in our lineup — so the tail sinks naturally without constant back-foot pressure.
