The Solution has been Jones' benchmark backcountry board for years, and the formula hasn't needed reinventing — just refining. The directional shape with 3D base contours floats through Revelstoke powder and holds a precise line through steep, technical terrain. The Ultra Split Core, reinforced with Flax and Basalt, keeps the ride chatter-free and responsive even when the descent doesn't match the forecast — dust-on-crust, wind-affected snow, or refrozen tracks. Traction Tech 2.0 gives you real edge grip on the way down, while Inner Edge Traction Tech improves your hold on icy skin tracks during the climb — small "bumps" on the inside edge near your bindings keep you locked in no matter which direction you're traversing. This is a board built by people who spend their lives in the backcountry, for people who are ready to join them.
| Backcountry-specific requirements This board requires splitboard-specific bindings (sold separately) and is intended for riders with avalanche safety training, proper rescue gear, and current knowledge of local backcountry conditions. We carry climbing skins from Jones, Black Diamond, and G3, and splitboard bindings from Spark R&D — come in and we'll help you put together a complete setup that makes sense for where you're headed. |

W sizes run a noticeably wider waist (263–270mm) for riders with larger boots — the non-W sizes are narrower than comparable boards of the same length, so check the W option if you're between sizes. Sidecut radius increases with length, giving longer boards a more drawn-out, stable turn shape. Talk to us about sizing for backcountry use — your typical resort size may not be the right call here.
The Jones Solution Splitboard is available in-store at Attridge Ski & Board in Vernon, BC — your home base for backcountry access around Rogers Pass, Revelstoke, and Big White. We ship free across Canada on orders over $150.
