The Smalls sits in a sweet spot in the Burton kids' lineup — past the toddler stage, not yet into teen territory, and ready to start doing real things on a snowboard. The Flat Top™ profile keeps the tip and tail light and loose for a catch-free, freestyle-friendly feel that makes side hits and beginner park features approachable rather than intimidating. A proper wood core (not a foam core) gives it real pop and durability. Filet-O-Flex constructions lets it bend and flex with the rider rather than fighting them, which matters enormously at this skill level. The twin shape rides identically regular or switch — great early habits that pay off as riders progress. At Silver Star, Big White, and Revelstoke, this is the board for kids ready to start exploring the whole mountain instead of just the bunny hill.

Size by your child's weight. The 125 and 130 share the same weight range — choose the 130 for a more stable platform as skills develop. When in doubt, come in — we'll sort it out.
