Product description

3-Person Towable Tube — HO Sports

Who this is for

This is for crews who aren’t just out for a cruise — they want the wildest ride on the water. It works well for groups up to 3 people who want things get rowdy, fast, and seriously fun. The Sunset 3’s SoftShell Technology removes the potential for arm burn and friction rash that can come with all that fun. Ride it all afternoon on Okanagan Lake without paying for it the next morning.

The tube

The HO Sports Sunset 3 is a 3-rider round deck tube with one meaningful upgrade over a standard nylon-covered tube: SoftShell Technology. Most deck tubes use a rough nylon cover that causes friction burns on arms and legs during the ride — and heats up to an uncomfortable temperature in direct sun when the tube is sitting idle. HO’s SoftShell cover is abrasion-resistant and temperature-controlled, which means riders can stay on the tube between runs on Okanagan Lake without burning themselves on the surface, and come off the water without marking up their skin. At 70” in diameter it comfortably seats three riders, No-Show Handles integrate flush into the tube for a cleaner ride, and HO’s Quick Connect tow attachment and Boston valves handle the practical side fast. If your group typically runs four riders, the Sunset 4 is the same tube scaled up at 80”.

Which tube is right for your group?

Lay-Down Style — Sunset 3, 4 & Radar Astro, Liftoff

This is the wild ride. Riding prone on Okanagan Lake puts you low to the water and cranks up the intensity through every turn. Our recommendation for teenagers and anyone who wants to get tossed around — and doesn’t mind getting launched. We also carry the Radar Astro and Radar Liftoff.

Sit-Down Style — Laguna, 2G/3G & Radar Chase 3

Better for younger kids, older adults, or anyone who wants a fun but more controlled ride. Sitting upright gives riders more stability and makes it easier to hang on through turns. A great pick for mixed groups with a range of ages. We carry the Laguna 2, Laguna 3, 2G, 3G, and Radar Chase 3 in-store.

What makes it work

SoftShell Technology — No Tube Rash

SoftShell is HO’s full-coverage soft top material that replaces the rough nylon found on standard deck tubes. It’s abrasion-resistant so riders don’t pick up friction burns on a long afternoon session on Kalamalka Lake — a genuine improvement over any standard nylon-covered tube in the same price range.

Temperature Controlled Cover

SoftShell doesn’t absorb and hold heat the way nylon does. On a hot Okanagan summer afternoon the surface of the tube stays comfortable rather than becoming painful to sit or kneel on between runs. A small detail that adds up significantly over a full day on the water.

70” Round Deck — 3 Riders

The classic round deck shape is easy to board from the water and seats three riders comfortably side by side. No-Show Handles sit flush in the tube surface — no protruding grips to land on during a spill, and a cleaner look without sacrificing the hold you need through sharp turns on Okanagan Lake.

HO Quick Connect + Boston Valves

Quick Connect clips to your tow rope without knots or loops at the dock. Boston valves inflate and deflate the tube quickly. Simple to rig, simple to store. Backed by HO’s 1-year limited warranty.

Attridge Pro Tip — Inflation & Care

Tubes expand in the heat of an Okanagan summer day — never inflate to maximum pressure on a cool morning and leave the tube sitting in direct sun. Always inflate with a little room to spare, then check pressure again after 10–15 minutes in the sun. Before every session, check that your Boston valve caps are tight and fully seated — a loose cap is the most common cause of a slow-leaking tube. After use, rinse with fresh water, let it dry before rolling up, and store out of direct sunlight to protect the cover from UV damage.
