4-Person Towable Tube — HO Sports
Who this is for
This is for crews who aren’t just out for a cruise — they want the wildest ride on the water. It works well for groups up to four people who want things get rowdy, fast, and seriously fun. The Sunset 4’s SoftShell Technology removes the potential for arm burn and friction rash that can come with it. Ride it all afternoon on Okanagan Lake without paying for it the next morning.
The tube
The HO Sports Sunset 4 is a 4-rider round deck tube built around one genuinely useful innovation: SoftShell Technology. Traditional nylon-covered tubes have two persistent problems — the cover gets scorching hot in direct sun, and the rough nylon surface causes friction burns on arms and legs during the ride. HO’s SoftShell cover solves both. It stays comfortable in the sun rather than becoming too hot to touch, and the abrasion-resistant material dramatically reduces the “tube rash” that leaves marks after a long session behind the boat. At 80” in diameter there’s room for four riders sitting together on the deck, HO’s Quick Connect tow system clips the rope on fast, and Boston valves handle inflation and deflation without fuss. If you’re comparing to the 4G, the Sunset 4 is a classic round deck tube — a different shape and ride feel to the swept-wing 4G, and at a lower price point.
This is the wild ride. Riding prone on Okanagan Lake puts you low to the water and cranks up the intensity through every turn. Our recommendation for teenagers and anyone who wants to get tossed around — and doesn’t mind getting launched. We also carry the Radar Astro and Radar Liftoff.
Sit-Down Style — Laguna, 2G/3G & Radar Chase 3
Better for younger kids, older adults, or anyone who wants a fun but more controlled ride. Sitting upright gives riders more stability and makes it easier to hang on through turns. A great pick for mixed groups with a range of ages. We carry the Laguna 2, Laguna 3, 2G, 3G, and Radar Chase 3 in-store.
What makes it work
SoftShell Technology — No Tube Rash
SoftShell is HO’s full-coverage soft top material that replaces the rough nylon found on most deck tubes. It’s abrasion-resistant so riders don’t pick up friction burns during a long session on Kalamalka Lake, and it doesn’t heat up in the sun like traditional nylon covers. A genuine upgrade for anyone who has had to peel skin off their arms after a day of tubing.
Temperature Controlled Cover
SoftShell doesn’t absorb heat the way nylon does, so the surface of the tube stays comfortable on a hot Okanagan summer afternoon rather than becoming genuinely painful to sit on. Riders can stay on the tube between runs without needing to shuffle off to avoid burning themselves — a small detail that makes a big difference on a long day on the water.
80” Round Deck — 4 Riders
The classic round deck shape seats four riders comfortably. No-Show Handles are integrated flush into the tube so they’re there when you need them and out of the way when you don’t — a cleaner look and fewer hard edges to land on when things get wild on Okanagan Lake.
HO Quick Connect + Boston Valves
Quick Connect clips the tow rope on without knots or loops at the dock. Boston valves handle inflation and deflation quickly. Backed by HO’s 1-year limited warranty.

A tube tow rope rated for 4-person use is required. If you want a swept-wing shape with individual seat dividers instead of a round deck tube, the HO 4G is the alternative — same capacity, different ride feel.
Attridge Pro Tip — Inflation & Care
Tubes expand in the heat of an Okanagan summer day — never inflate to maximum pressure on a cool morning and leave the tube sitting in direct sun. Always inflate with a little room to spare, then check pressure again after 10–15 minutes in the sun. Before every session, check that your Boston valve caps are tight and fully seated — a loose cap is the most common cause of a slow-leaking tube. After use, rinse with fresh water, let it dry before rolling up, and store out of direct sunlight to protect the cover from UV damage.
