Skim Style Wakesurf Board — Phase Five — 2026
Who this is for
Smaller and lighter riders — younger surfers, women, or anyone under 140 lbs — who want a fast, versatile fish-shape that works in both surf and skim styles. The Surfari is approachable enough to learn on but responsive enough to grow with, and the removable side fins let you change the feel entirely without buying a new board.
The board
The 2026 Phase Five Surfari breaks the mold with a bold new-age fish design built for speed and responsiveness. The sleek, narrow outline and nimble fish tail give you serious down-the-line speed, while the rounded pin nose adds enough predictability that riders of all skill levels feel in control. What makes the Surfari unique in the Phase Five lineup is how much it can change character with a simple fin swap: run the full tri-fin thruster setup for locked-in, on-rails drive through Okanagan Lake’s pocket — then pull the two side fins and ride a loose, free twin for effortless spins and surface tricks. Two boards in one, made in Venice, Florida, and built to last through seasons of progressive riding.
What makes it work
Fish Tail + Narrow Outline
The fish tail generates speed through the flat sections and creates a responsive pivot point for turns — faster and more nimble than a traditional surf-style outline. The narrow shape keeps swing weight low, which means quicker edge-to-edge transitions and less effort needed to generate speed on Okanagan Lake’s smaller morning wakes.
Versatile Tri-Fin Setup
Three 2” fins in a thruster configuration locks the board on rail for driven, carving turns. Remove the two side fins and you’re on a twin — looser, skatier, and ready for spins and freestyle tricks. The ability to change the personality of the board in minutes is what sets the Surfari apart from single-setup shapes.
Composilite™ Construction
Phase Five’s entry-level moulded construction built exclusively in the USA. Composilite is designed for durability and longevity — it handles the knocks and scrapes of regular boat use without the fragility of higher-end carbon builds. The right construction for a board that lives on the swim platform all summer on Kalamalka Lake.
HD PROPEL™ Base + 5/8” Profile
The HD PROPEL bottom is engineered for smooth glide and efficient water flow through flat sections. At 5/8” thick, the Surfari sits in Phase Five’s thinnest profile tier — keeping the board light and fast underfoot, which particularly benefits smaller riders who need less swing weight to generate tricks.
