Backcountry Freeride / Splitboard — Jones — 2027
|
Who this is for Advanced to expert riders heading into the backcountry around Rogers Pass and the Gorge who want a board with a playful, energetic feel — for slashing gullies, boosting airs off natural features, and carving turns on the descent, not just surviving it. Built specifically for women, the Stratos brings a freestyle soul to a serious backcountry tool. |

If the Solution is built to handle anything the backcountry throws at you, the Stratos is built to make sure you're having fun while it happens. A tapered directional freeride shape with a blunt nose and 10mm of taper gives it an energetic, surf-like feel — quick to turn, eager to slash, and just as happy boosting off a natural feature as it is railing a hardpack carve on the way down. The camber-heavy Directional Rocker profile and narrower sidecut deliver fast, precise edge-to-edge response, while the Ultra Core's Paulownia and Poplar construction keeps it light and lively underfoot. Traction Tech 3.0 and the Boltless Bridge mean this board is locked in and confident no matter what the descent throws at it — but the personality is what sets it apart. This is a backcountry board that wants to play.
| Backcountry-specific requirements This board requires splitboard-specific bindings (sold separately) and is intended for riders with avalanche safety training, proper rescue gear, and current knowledge of local backcountry conditions. We carry climbing skins from Jones, Black Diamond, and G3, and splitboard bindings from Spark R&D — come in and we'll help you put together a complete setup that makes sense for where you're headed. |

| Length (cm) | Waist Width | Sidecut Radius | Taper |
|---|---|---|---|
| 146 | 239mm | 6.3m | 10mm |
| 149 | 242mm | 6.5m | 10mm |
| 152 | 244mm | 6.7m | 10mm |
The Stratos runs a notably tighter sidecut radius (6.3–6.7m) than the standard Solution (7.9–9.5m) — a big part of why it feels quicker and more energetic edge to edge. Available in three sizes only, all at a consistent 23.9–24.4cm waist width and 10mm taper. Talk to us about sizing for backcountry use — your typical resort size may not be the right call here.
The Jones Women's Stratos Splitboard is available in-store at Attridge Ski & Board in Vernon, BC — your home base for backcountry access around Rogers Pass and the Gorge. We ship free across Canada on orders over $150.
