Product description
Youth Wakesurf Board ā Hyperlite ā 2026
Who this is for
Intermediate to advanced youth riders who are past the basics and want a board that can grow with their progression ā spins, airs, and genuine trick development on Okanagan Lake. This is not a beginner board. Itās a performance crossover shape scaled specifically for younger riders who are ready to go to the next level.
The board
The 2026 Hyperlite Good Daze Jr. 3.9 is a crossover skim and surf shape shaped by Butch Customs and built specifically for youth riders who are developing a real bag of tricks. The compact 3ā9ā profile reduces swing weight for faster rotations, and the fast rocker line carries speed across the wave so the board never loses momentum between moves. Its diamond tail shape with vented tail channels provides clean releases for spins while adding control through turns, and the single concave base drives responsiveness and extra push when you need it. Built on Hyperliteās DuraShell construction with a Satin Flex glass layup, the Good Daze Jr. has a forgiving yet responsive feel underfoot ā it gives younger riders the confidence to try bigger things without being punishing when they donāt land perfectly. The tri-fin setup with two 3.5ā Torq fins and a 1.5ā Fish fin lets riders dial in more grip for surf-style carving or loosen up for skim-style spins.
What makes it work
DuraShell + Satin Flex ā Forgiving & Responsive
DuraShell combines EPS buoyancy with compression-moulded durability so the board handles everyday use without taking damage. The Satin Flex layered glass gives the board a forgiving feel that absorbs imperfect landings ā critical for a rider who is actively trying new tricks and not landing everything cleanly yet.
Compact 3ā9ā Profile ā Built for Rotations
The shorter length reduces swing weight so youth riders can rotate faster with less effort than on a full-size board. Paired with a fast rocker that carries speed across the wave, the Good Daze Jr. stays efficient without needing constant pumping ā more energy goes into the trick, less into managing the board.
Diamond Tail + Single Concave Base
The diamond tail with vented channels releases cleanly into spins while maintaining control through turns ā a shape that suits both skim and surf style riding. The single concave base runs under the board to channel water efficiently and provide extra drive and responsiveness when carving or generating pop for airs.
Torq + Fish Fin Combo ā Crossover Setup
Two 3.5ā Torq fins provide drive and tracking for surf-style carving, paired with a 1.5ā Fish centre fin that adds looseness and control. The combination gives youth riders the ability to dial in their setup ā more grip on the wave for learning turns, or a looser feel when theyāre ready to spin.
