The Backseat Driver is Burton's solid pow surfer — built like a shortened snowboard with a wood core and metal edges, so it rides with familiar flex and response. The directional shape with a massive 25mm taper gives the nose serious float while the narrower tail pivots and drives with a loose, surfy feel that's genuinely different from anything strapped. You don't need a snowmobile mission to enjoy it either — a small backyard hill with a few inches of soft snow is all it takes to start, and then you work your way up from there. Lean your weight back for denser snow, forward for lighter fluff. The mountain is right beneath your feet. Powsurf Leash included — you'll want it.
