If your goal is to pump back to the second or third wake with less effort, the reduced swing weight of the MOD 84 is your biggest advantage.
The board
The Ronix MOD 84 is a masterclass in foiling ergonomics. Available in 3’9” or 4’2”, this board trades unnecessary length for centralized volume—a “short and stout” design that acts as the engine for your pump performance. By minimizing the surface area in front of your lead foot, you eliminate the nose leverage that usually fights your lift.
For your progression sessions on Okanagan Lake, the MOD 84 provides a rigid, responsive platform with a hull shape engineered for recovery. If you touch down, the board is designed to skip and rebound off the surface rather than suctioning to the water, keeping your flight path alive and uninterrupted.
Choose your charge
Ronix has dialled in the sweet spot lengths at 3’9”–4’2”. Within that, the choice comes down to your ability and style, and how you want the board to respond:
Max Lift & Response — 3’9”
Bring more power to your pumping and greater attack angle to your cutback carves. The 3’9” has the most lift and quickest response for the advanced foiler.
More Control & Stability — 4’2”
The added volume slightly detunes the intensity of the 4’2” while still being reactive with a touch more composure and stability. This size will be easier for taller riders as well.
What makes it work
Minimal Swing Weight
By shortening the board to 3’9” or 4’2”, Ronix has moved the mass closer to the mast. This makes the board feel significantly lighter in the air, allowing for quicker turns and less fatigue during long sessions.
