Surf Style Wakesurf Board — Hyperlite — 2026
|
Who this is for Intermediate to advanced surf-style riders who want a board that feels alive underfoot — fast down the line, explosive out of turns, and loose enough to throw airs when the wave opens up. The Frother is back by popular demand for riders who want ocean-inspired performance behind the boat on Okanagan Lake. |
The Hyperlite Frother 2.0 is reborn after popular demand, and shaped by Aaron Stumpf with a clear purpose: surf-style performance that bridges the gap between locked-in carving and freestyle looseness. The wide rocket tail generates serious speed and drive for explosive turns and airs, while the unique tail rocker combines the float of a wide tail shape with the response of sharper rails — giving you both stability in the pocket and the ability to release when you want it. Handmade with epoxy over an EPS core with wood stringer, the Frother feels genuinely lively underfoot in a way that moulded boards simply can’t replicate. The single-to-double concave channels water efficiently for effortless speed down the line, making the most of every morning session on Kalamalka Lake. As we cover in our wakesurf guide, surf-style boards are built for riders who love deep bottom turns, powerful carves, and throwing buckets off the lip — and the Frother does all of that exceptionally well.

Tested on Okanagan Lake We rode the Frother last summer and were blown away with how fun it was — especially behind a big wake. It rode with the response of a board costing significantly more. The narrow nose makes it incredibly quick rail to rail, the harder rails through the back generate serious speed and drive, and it is genuinely explosive out of turns. Everything the marketing says it does, it actually does. If you’re a surf-style rider who hasn’t tried a twin fin on Okanagan Lake yet — this is the one. |

Surf-style boards are generally sized by rider weight and wake size. The Frother’s higher volume makes it accessible at most speeds — smaller sizes are more agile for lighter riders, larger sizes give heavier riders more float and momentum. Not sure which size is right for you? Call us and we’ll help narrow it down.
