Slalom Water Ski — Radar — 2026
Who this is for
The skier who wants one ski that handles everything — glassy morning runs on Okanagan Lake, afternoon chop on Kalamalka, and skiing the course. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran getting back to your prime or an intermediate rider ready to conquer 34 MPH, the Alloy Senate was built for you.
The ski
The Radar Alloy Senate is widely considered the most versatile slalom ski ever built. For 2026, Radar has refined the Vapor-derived shape, giving you the heart of a world-record-breaking tournament ski but adding 0.2” of extra width. This Performance Width creates a stable, high-riding platform that allows you to ski at slower speeds without losing the ability to attack the wake.
Not sure if the Alloy is the right choice versus the Graphite or Lyric? As we cover in our How to Choose Your Radar Slalom Waterski in 2026 guide: “the Alloy is the ‘go-to’ for most skiers and the sweet spot of the lineup — equally at home on a glassy morning run or a rough afternoon session.”
Attridge recommended speed: 29–32 MPH — Radar’s published range of 26–34 MPH is intentionally broad to cover every skier. In our experience on North Okanagan lakes, 29–32 MPH is where the Alloy Senate truly comes alive for most intermediate to advanced riders.
What makes it work
All-Terrain Core
A polyurethane core with Paulownia wood stringers acts like a suspension system — soaking up afternoon chop, smoothing out vibration, and keeping you stable even when Kalamalka Lake isn’t cooperating. The result is a “set it and forget it” ski that won’t punish small balance errors and is dependable in variable conditions from glassy mornings through rough afternoon sessions.
100% Carbon Fibre Wrap
Provides a consistent, snappy flex pattern. The carbon stores energy through the turn and releases it as you cross the wakes — giving you the high-end acceleration Radar is known for, without the harsh, unforgiving feel of a full competition layup.
Vapor-Inspired Shape
The Alloy starts with the same tunnel and edge bevels as Radar’s flagship Vapor ski. The ski turns and grips like a pro-level ski, but the Performance Width keeps you stable and reduces the physical strain on your body through the cut — letting you ski longer and harder.
Expanded Sweet Spot
The 2026 model features a refined rocker line that expands the sweet spot from your front foot to the back, making it harder to get out of position and easier to recover from a mistake. For riders returning to the sport or pushing into new speeds, this is the feature that builds confidence fastest.

Sizing is based on average fitness and ability. Stronger or more advanced skiers often size down; beginners or those returning to the sport may prefer to size up for more stability. Not sure which size is right for your build and speed? Call us — water ski sizing is one of the things we know well.
