The kit
The Ronix Beginner Shift / Balance Series is the most accessible way to start wakefoiling on Okanagan Lake. The Shift Mast is the centrepiece — the world's only telescoping adjustable wakefoil mast, setting at 17", 20", 23", or 26". Start at 17" with the Vertical Stabilizer in place: that combination is the most forgiving beginner foil setup on the market, eliminating the abrupt starts and hard-to-manage takeoffs that make foiling frustrating. Work up through the heights at your own pace. The Balance 1300 front wing locks you into the sweet spot and holds you there, while the rear stabilizer and vertical stabilizer work together to keep pitch and roll controlled throughout the learning phase. Shift Mast — 4 Heights in 1
The world's only telescoping adjustable wakefoil mast, now with four heights for 2026. Start at 17" — the lowest, most forgiving position — to nail deep-water starts and body position without the mast punishing every mistake. Work through 20" and 23" as turns and takeoffs get cleaner, then push to 26" for real unassisted flight. Four heights, one setup, zero new hardware on the way through.
Balance 1300 Front Wing
1,300cm² of elliptical wing designed to lock you into the sweet spot and keep you there. Stable and consistent at every mast height, from your first 17" session through to unassisted flight at 26". The white carbon finish makes it easy to see how deep the wing sits relative to the waterline — a practical depth reference that helps new riders on Okanagan Lake understand and control their flight height.
Vertical Stabilizer — Patent Pending
Ronix's patent-pending vertical stabilizer slides onto the fuselage and acts like a centre fin — slowing the takeoff, locking in turns, and giving new riders a controlled, predictable flight pattern. Combined with the Shift mast at 17", it's the most effective beginner foil combination on the market. The two hardest parts of foiling are the abrupt start and the unpredictable turn. The vertical stabilizer takes both off the table. Slide it off once you've built the foundation.
Link 3D Fuselage + Balance Rear Stabilizer
The CNC-milled Link 3D fuselage (39cm) provides a rigid, gap-free connection between the mast, front wing, and rear stabilizer — no flex, no slop in the system. The Balance 240cm² rear stabilizer is tuned for extra lift and stability through the learning phase, controlling pitch on takeoff and maintaining consistency through turns. Remove the vertical stabilizer as your skill develops and the rear stabilizer continues to do its job.
Board not included. The right match for this kit is the Ronix 727 Tuff Tech Foil Board (4'1" or 4'8") — a purpose-built foil board with a thin profile and tough Surface Skin construction built to handle the bumps and landings that come with learning.
