The kit
The Ronix Shift/Fluid Balance Series covers the full beginner-to-intermediate arc. The Shift Mast starts at 17" — the lowest, most stable position — and with Ronix's patent-pending Vertical Stabilizer in place, it removes the unpredictable starts and abrupt takeoffs that make foiling look harder than it is. Work up through 20", 23", and 26" at your own pace. When you're ready for more height, more pump, and second-wave riding nearly 80 feet from the boat, the 28" Fluid solid mast is already in the bag. The Balance 1300 front wing carries you through both phases without a swap. Expect a few solid summers of progression from this kit, with plenty of runway for new riders to jump in along the way.
What makes it work
Shift Mast — Learning Phase (17"–26")
The world's only telescoping adjustable wakefoil mast, now with four heights for 2026. Start at 17" — the lowest, most forgiving position — to nail deep-water starts and body position without the mast punishing every mistake. Work through 20" and 23" as turns and takeoffs get cleaner, then push to 26" for real unassisted flight. Four heights, one setup, zero new hardware on the way through.
Fluid 28" Mast — Flight Phase
When you've outgrown 26", the Fluid is already in the bag. Ronix's hollow heat-treated 6061 alloy solid mast is engineered around a medium-tempo cadence — smooth, linked, predictable turns that carry into second-wave exploration nearly 80 feet from the boat. More pumping power, more down-the-line speed, and the height to ride the full wave face. It's a significant step up from the adjustable range, and the main reason the bundle is worth it.
Balance 1300 Front Wing
1,300cm² of elliptical wing that carries you through the full progression without a swap. Designed to lift early, lock into the sweet spot, and hold you there — stable and consistent from the first Shift session all the way into Fluid mast riding. The white carbon finish makes it easy to see how deep the wing sits relative to the waterline on Kalamalka Lake, a practical depth reference for new riders learning to manage their flight height.
Vertical Stabilizer + Link 3D Fuselage
Ronix's patent-pending vertical stabilizer slides onto the fuselage and acts like a centre fin — slowing the takeoff, locking in turns, and giving new riders a controlled, predictable flight pattern. Combined with the Shift mast at its lowest setting, it's the most effective beginner foil combination on the market. Remove it once you've built the foundation and let the foil open up. The CNC-milled Link 3D fuselage (39cm) provides a rigid, gap-free connection between every component throughout the whole progression.
Board not included. The right match for this kit is the Ronix 727 Tuff Tech Foil Board (4'1" or 4'8") — a purpose-built foil board with a thin profile and tough Surface Skin construction built to handle the bumps and landings that come with learning.
