The board
The Ronix Blackbird Superconductor is not a typical foil board. Most boards use lightweight, low-density foam to keep swing weight down. Ronix went the other direction. A proprietary ultra-dense PVC foam core — up to 6× the density of a standard foil board — wrapped in a full carbon layup eliminates the lag between your feet and the foil entirely. The result is a board that reacts faster and hits harder than anything else in the Ronix lineup. The recessed deck drops your centre of gravity, locking you into a deeper, more secure stance for high-speed carves and airs. The V-bottom with an exaggerated bevel deflects water efficiently so landing is quick and clean. Foot straps are included and designed not just for security — on the Blackbird, they’re your launching pad for airs.
Choose your charge
Ronix has dialled in the sweet spot length at 3’8”–3’10”. Within that, the choice comes down to volume and how you want the board to respond:
The Slender — 13 Litres
Ultra-thin. The strongest direct connection between rider and foil. Less swing weight, quicker response time, and the most immediate energy transfer in the line. For riders who want to feel everything.
The Profile — 20 Litres
More mass in the profile adds energy once the pump is initiated and delivers smoother turns. The added volume slightly detunes the intensity of the 13L — still enormously reactive, but with a touch more composure through the arc.

Superconductor Construction
Proprietary ultra-dense PVC foam — up to 6× denser than a standard foil board — wrapped in a full carbon layup. The density eliminates the “lag” that softer foam creates between your feet and the foil. Every pump, every shift of weight, every correction transfers instantly. Calculated reactiveness for explosive pumps and surgical recoveries.
Recessed Stealth Deck
The recessed deck drops your centre of gravity below the board’s rail, locking you into a more secure, grounded stance. At high speeds and in tight carves on Okanagan Lake, that lower connection point is the difference between control and chaos. Combined with Blended EVA traction pads — machined grooves in a foam/rubber compound — your feet stay exactly where you put them.
V-Bottom + Exaggerated Bevel
The V-bottom with exaggerated bevel is engineered for one purpose: water deflection. The goal in foiling is to fly, not surf — and this bottom geometry repels water aggressively on touchdowns so you get back in the air as fast as possible. Machined to exact tolerance, every board leaves the factory with zero variance from the spec.
Foot Straps + Industry Standard Tracks
On the Blackbird, foot straps aren’t just for security — they’re your boost for airs. The 10” track length with industry-standard 3.5” width between tracks means your foil setup mounts directly without adapters. Compatible with the Ronix Velo and Expert foil systems already in the Attridge lineup.
