Who this is for You are an advanced to expert all-mountain rider who has heard about the Orca for years — or already owns one — and wants the next evolution of the most celebrated freeride board in snowboarding. The original Orca earned its legend. The II is what Travis built after he ran out of things to improve on the original. |

For years the original Orca was one of snowboarding's most untouchable designs — riders didn't just ride it, they collected it, upgraded it season after season, and stacked quivers around it. Now, for the first time, Travis Rice and Mervin have rebuilt the shape from the ground up. The Orca II keeps everything that made the original legendary — the long floaty nose that eats Revelstoke pow lines, the tight 7m sidecut that trenches hardpack carves most boards can't touch, the Magne-Traction® edge grip that keeps you locked in when Silver Star groomers go bulletproof — and adds a completely new Whale Tail Technology tail that's wider, floatier, and more poppy for both regular and switch riding. A new Makah Hemlock core brings more energy to every turn. If you already own an Orca, you know what this board does. What's new is that it does everything a little better, and it does it switch.

Volume-shifted board — Lib Tech recommends sizing down 3–6 cm from your normal length. Weight figures are minimums, not a ceiling — heavier riders should size up accordingly. The 138–150 sizes run a narrower waist profile suited to riders with smaller feet; the 153–162 sizes step up to a wider platform. When in doubt, come in — we'll sort it out.
| About the volume-shifted platform The Orca II runs wide — but the 7m sidecut actively compensates for that width, making it more responsive edge-to-edge than the numbers suggest. It works well across a range of boot sizes, not just large ones. Bigger feet will appreciate the platform; regular to smaller boots ride it just fine. Size down 3–6 cm from your normal length — that's the intended setup, not optional. |
The Lib Tech Orca II is available in-store at Attridge Ski & Board in Vernon, BC — your home base for Silver Star, Revelstoke, and Big White. We ship free across Canada on orders over $150.
